Electrical issue...

Yahoo Message Number: 115334
While on a trip this past week, we were driving through Illinois with the generator on and the air conditioners on. The outside temperature showed 102 degrees. For some reason the generator stopped. I turned off the air conditioners and restarted the generator. The load meter panel indicated generator connected, but only the two bottom right lights (front A/C fan and rear A/C fan) were illuminated. I turned on the air conditioners and the fans in the air conditioners were blowing, but the compressors would not come on. I shut off the a/c's and generator. When I arrived at the campground, I connected to 50 amp service and the panel showed shore power connected, but again only the two bottom right lights came on. The electric water heater would also not heat the water. I have checked all the circuit breakers and none were tripped. I have not checked the air conditioner starter capacitors on the units mainly because they would not affect the hot water heater or other items. I have attached a photo of the panel on shore power.
Any ideas or recommendations?

Thanks!
Max

Max,
This might not be the case, reset the breaker on the generated itself.

have you tried 20 amp or 30 amp plugs to see if anything changes.  I can plug into 20 amp with everything else turned off an get an A/C running.

So shore power also has the same symptom? The common denominator is the ATS(?). So might check that for loose wiring.

If it was only the generator. The cycling off/on the generators breakers, would be worth a shot:)!

Will follow the thread, and wish you good luck,
