I'm looking for a consense on what is a the best RV group. Good Sam, coach-net or one of the others? Or, are these organizations worth the money?

With my previous coach, Good Sam ERS came and got me 8 times in 12 months.
(Anybody wonder why I traded it in??) 1 year Coach-Net service came with the CC and one year from my dealer. I have not had to use it but certainly won't be without it.

IMHO, the roadside assistance plan is a good thing to have. During my first year, I had to be towed and the bill was over $750.00.
A few months ago I had a blowout and the bill was $290 to come out from the nearest tire service shop over 90 miles away and change the tire.
I use the plan sold at Camping World. The premium is about $80.00 per year and I always renew it.

Hope this helps.

I would strongly recommend that you have a roadside assistance policy. While traveling with a cavavan in Alaska and Northern B.C.this past summer. Our 32' Allure had a fuel pump failure that required a 160 mile tow to the nearest certified Cummins shop. This tow would have cost $2,000 if my wife and I didn't have AAA coverage.

Hi Group:

Our contract for roadside assistance is up in a couple of months and I am in charge of selecting the new contract! Yikes! Help!
I have searched the files and it appears that Good Sam or Coach-Net are the two favorites with Coach-Net coming up higher. We have been with Good Sam and I favor changing to Coach-Net. Would I be correct in my assessment?

Your advice please?

Hi Shirley. In my experience - Coach-Net. Many others on the Group would probably agree.

I have had Coach Net since "03 and never had a reason to call them until I had a tire going down with a slow leak. I was impressed with their response. I was in an RV park in Kerrville, TX and they had someone out the next morning. I had to pay for the leaking valve stem but they covered the trip costs. Rod5206, '07 Allure 470, #31463
