Mini Message Center [MMC]

Has anyone here had a problem with the MMC sticking on one display and not being able to select another display? I talked with CC tech and they faxed a procedure to me, that is well above my skill level, requiring the install of a switch to bypass some parts of the system, changing some pins in a connector etc.
All in all this doesn't seem like an owner type job as it also requires some test equipment.

If you had problems were you able to fix them locally or did the CC folks do it for you?
