2003 Intrigue major water leak in front door

First of all, thanks to all of you for information on the batteries. I'm probably going to do lead acid as I plan to trade in about a year and I wouldn't get my money out of AGM. I will order them on the next coach though, these only lasted 18 months. (Trade in is based on approval from senior partner)
Has anyone come up with a fix that works for the Intrigue front door leak. We have had it in the shop three times now and the front step rugs are still soaked every time it rains. First time it happened, my wife opened the door and about an inch of water surged out of the step well. We did do the Country Coach Recall but it doesn't seem to be effective.

John,

I don't know how the Intrigues are built around the front door but I "assume" they are similar to the Allures. Having said that, I had the same problem with the steps inside the door. Water would accumulate and soak the rugs that go up the side of the well. I looked under the coach with the front step extended and noticed a fiberglass panel that covers the inside steps had water sitting in it. I had Lazy Days drill a few elongated holes in the corners of the inside step enclosure. This solved my flooding problem completely until I was able to get the door recall done 6 months later. The only down side I see to this is if you'r in a real flood, water may make it's way up under the inside steps.

Where is your leak.

One thing I have noticed on my coach, it's 2002 Intrigue, is that the rubber that is used to seal the door is like sponge and it soaks up water, causing a leak .
Any comments???????????????
