Corian repairs for stains and cracks?

I see that our Corian counters are warranteed for 10 years. I have some cracks in our vanity that I'm sure were there when we got the coach 3 years ago, but are difficult to see unless the light is just right at the time you look at it. We also have a crack in the DR table edge. Now I've also got a stain from a candle that has sat on the same place for over a year. What are my chances of getting these fixed in JC or with a Corian dealer in general? Any ideas of handling the stain (other than the usual Soft Scrub which didn't work...the wax seems to have "settled into the Corian." We'll be in JC in Sept.

Jan, you might try a terry cloth and an iron set on a temp that will melt the wax but not hurt the corian. The idea is to melt the wax and the cloth will draw the wax out, it will take a few times to get all the wax.. I have used this on wooden tables a time or two. You have to experiment with the temp to get the best results.
My shower wall seam at the corner is coming loose, like the corian adhesive is failing. Sure like to repair that, don't know what to use.

Thanks for the suggestion...I knew about doing that for furniture, but am unsure about "how hot for Corian"...I'll just try and see what happens I guess...Slowly!

Too bad about the shower...I think they make a "Corian glue" that you use to glue the pieces together...a Corian dealer might sell it.

Jan, I have checked around and I'm told that Corian is only installed by those trained with the product, no DIY and thus no associated products sold separately. CC tech has suggested "trying" to repair with 'epoxy' but left it at that, just doesn't seem like a big deal if I had the right product to work with.

Got it off the Corian website...it's "when installed by a certified dealer"...which CC should be since they use it all the time...we'll find out, won't we!

When I inquired with Corian for a crack in my motorhome counter top I was told that Corian does not cover installations in mobile vehicles. If you get a different reply please let me know.
When Corian wouldn't fix it I took it to JC for a factory repair.
I told them that they needed to put a block of Corian under the crack that ran from a corner of the cooktop. The repair appeared very good & I paid over $500 for the repair. In February, 8 mos after being repaired the crack returned.

I just had a repair tech hired by Corian to my residence to replace a cracked sink. I had him look at my motorhome. He stated that the installation of the Corian was NOT to Corian specs. He stated the corners of the cooktop should be stress blocked--NONE. He stated the corners should be routed round, sanded smooth and heat tape put on edge that touched cooktop. While the corners were routed round the rest of the process was ignored. He stated that the original installation & the subsequent repair were BOUND TO FAIL! He stated he would do a proper repair for another $500. My coach is a Cook's Delight & the crack is from the upper left corner of cooktop.

Hope your experience is different......

Check with Pro-Contracting in Eugene. I had them replace all my Corian, not because it was bad but for a color change. They should be able to tell you if it is under warranty & handle the claim if it is.

I bet you're right about that! (unfortunately)...I'll still try, though since I'm "on record" as having a complaint about a "roughness" in my lavatory top when we bought the coach...they "sanded it down"...but now, after seeing the cracks, I am sure it was bits of glue that they had used to fix a problem initially! So, we'll see how far I get.

We had Davis Cab. install a wall of cabinets on the passenger side and we've noticed their Corian is much thicker (and better done) than the CC done side.
