Air Conditioner condensate

Yahoo Message Number: 9795
The Air conditioners are working overtime in this very humid area. The condensate from rear unit has started running over the side of the coach rather than running down the drain tube. I took the cover off the unit yesterday, but could not determine where the opening is. It did this soon after getting the coach, and the dealer blew out the tube, but I did not see what that did. The problem must be near the rear unit since the front unit appears to be draining properly.

I remember someone, either on this group or the Diesel-RVs group, commenting that the lower portion of their A/C housing (the part that's closest to the roof surface) actually cracked and they had to replace the entire A/C unit 'cause of that. As an alternative, I think I'd look into the $129(?) tray I've seen advertised (with photo) in the rear pages of FMCA's magazine, which is installed between the A/C unit and roof, and is intended to route drain water in whichever direction (LF/RF/LR/RR) you want it to go. It may not be compatible with your unit's integral drain system, but may be worth checking. And if you do decide to install the tray, you can have the A/C's gasket replaced as a proactive measure at the same time.

Dick,

Thanks for the information. We have the same problem but I didn't know the Intrigue had a drain line. Our lines must be stopped up too. Any idea where to find the line?

The water is being held in the drip tray until it runs over the side.
Looking in from the top, you can see into the bedroom and it "almost" goes over the tray and in the house. I am concerned about it running over and coming inside. But, so far that has not happened. Just messes up the side of the coach.

It's pretty obvious that it is a clogged drain tube. But, since our coach's units drain onto the roof, I have no idea where your drain tubes might be.
Anyone? Regardless, this should be an easy thing to fix.

A/C drain tube. I found the tube inside the drivers side front wheel well. About 3 inches of rubber tube, in front of tire, near outside wall. Had roof A/C on and notice something dripping in the wheel well. This was for the front unit. Not sure about rear? Steve
