Freedom 20 Charger Problem

I had the 'supplier of CC's batteries do a routine maintence check of our house batteries

last week, after which we drove about an hour to our new location.
After being parked on

commercial power overnight, the low battery warning 'chirp started sounding. Upon

checking the battery compartment, I discovered the 'supplier forgot to reconnect the

batteries and the cables were hanging free...perhaps striking grounded areas while we

were in transient...I have no way of telling.

After reconnecting, the Freedom 20 seems to be dead as the battery will not accept a

charge, and in fact, the battery (of two 8D house batteries) that was disconnected, seems

to be dead also, as it won't accept a charge from a portable charger connected to AC.

Further, the only way the low battery warning chirp can be defeated is to keep the portable
charger online.

Is there anyone out there who has had their Freedom 20 drop offline like this? I hope the

problem is one of a blown fuze, but before I start tearing into the circuitry, I'd defer to one

of you who have experienced this before.
