Keeping electronics cool

The temperature in the cabinets over the driver's seat gets really hot especially on bright sunny days. I'm concerned about damaging the sensitive electronics in my TV, Bose sound, satellite, and control electronics. I'm going to install a quiet computer fan from Radio Shack to circulate cooler cabin air in these compartments, but I don't want it to run continuously. Does anyone have any ideas how to install a small simple adjustable thermostat that will turn the fan off and on automatically?

Bob: I installed a computer fan in my inverter compartment for the same reason after sealing the holes to prevent dirt from entering.
I went to big box hardware (Lowes or Home Depot) and bought a attic fan thermostat. It works great. Only 110v, however. It's easily adjustable with a small screwdriver. I'm not an electronic KIA (know-it-all), but maybe it would work on 12v?
