Panasonic CQ VA707WEUC Monitor problems

Yahoo Message Number: 10282
Hello all. We just left AZ after being there since Feb. When we started out Sunday the rear monitor camera was not working. We are in Las Vegas now and I have tried to check the settings. Everything works(CD, AMFM,)except the backup monitor screen. We do not have the NAV system, but I can't change the NAV IN setting.I thought maybe that setting got changed and screwed up the camera settings. My screen settings can be changed to full, zoom, and just, but there is no picture, just black screen.I reset all video to default settings thinking there was a picture, still nothing. Does anyone have any info that might help? Thank you, Macke, 2002 Allure 30792

Macke:

A number of us have had the same problem. In most cases it was caused by a loose or borken fuse holder that powers the camera. The common location for the fuse and camera control box is behind the 'kick' panel in front of the

the passanger seat. (mounted to the rear, low on the plywood). A few others reported that the camera cable was loose at the point it plugs into the control
box.

Good luck,

Macke,

Did you make any changes to the setting and it stopped working or did it just quit? You could try using another camera input to the system to see if it is the camera or the Panasonic. If another camera gives you a picture you know it's the coach camera. You could also check camera fuse.

One more possibility I haven't seen mentioned: check the camera connection at the rear of the coach. In our coach the connector is behind a panel in the rear closet. At least three time now I've reseated (and retaped) the connection to solve a "black screen" problem. Now I just put the cover on the hole and leave the connector hanging out where it easy to access.
