We LOVE our Ovation. It's nickname is "The Big O"... Anyway, Liz, being a devout Italian, immediately determined that since the cooktop isn't on the slide with the rest of the kitchen, she would not have any adjacent counter space. The solution was for CC to contract with Davis Cabinets to design, fabricate and install a hinged countertop extension at the cooktop. Totaly funtional. Should be put in as standard. Seems they must have the blueprints/plans... BTW watch out when you transport stuff on the cooktop (corian top) during travel. It can shift forward and when you put the slide out can get behind the wood column. Makes BIG damage. Happened to me.
