THE AIR RIDE VALVE PART NUMBER IS VELVAC # 034064 THE COMPANY I WORK FOR IS A VELVAC WAREHOUSE DISTRIBUTOR. I CAN HELP BY PASSING OUR COST OF THIS VALVE TO COUNTRY COACH OWNERS FOR $51.00 EA, I THINK THE OVER THE COUNTER PRICE IS $115.00. THE ONLY THINK YOU HAVE TO DO IS CHANGE THE BOLTS FROM 3/8"X 2-1/2" TO 5/16 X 2-1/2" ON THE BACK ONLY, THE FRONT BOLTS ARE ALRERADY 5/16". ALSO ALL THE CONTROL ROD COME WITH THE VALVE , BUT YOU CAN USE EVERYTHING BACK EXCEPT THE ROD GOING IN THE VALVE ITSELF YOU WILL NEED TO CUT IT TO LENGTH WITH A HACKSAW. COUNTRY COACH KNOWS THIS IS A BAD BAD BAD VALVE. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 2 HOURS TO CHANGE IN FLYINGJ'S PARKING LOT. I HAVE A 20 TON JACK I KEEP WITH ME AND BLOCKS , YOU HAVE GOT TO MAKE SURE TO BLOCK THESE COACHES UP THEY WELL HURT YOU. HOPE THIS HELPS

We have a 2002 40' Magna, is this the same air ride valve number that we would use if ours failed?

I THINK COUNTRY COACH USES THE SAME VALVEON ALL UNITS, IT HAS 4 MOUNTING HOLES TWO ON EACH SIDE. IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS THE TERM THE OTHER TYPE IS A DELAYED RESPONSE WHICH MOUNTS TOTAL DIFFERENT. I LIKE THE RIDE BETTER WITH THESE NEW VALVE THE RIDE SEEMS TO BE SOFT , BUT WHEN THE VALVE GIVES AWAY AND HITS THE TIRE AT 60 MPH ANYTHING WOULD FEEL BETTER. HOPE THIS HELPS, WE WERE LEAVING ST PETERSBURG FLORIDA ON I75 LAST WEEK AHEAD OF THE HURRICANE ON WHEN ONE OF THE 3 GAVE AWAY.

John,

Does this Velvac valve have a metal arm inside. The problem with the original equipment valve is that it had a plastic arm inside and the arm broke after time. Not CCs fault. This was a valve that most trucks used for many years. Now the new valves which I believe are made by Handex have a metal arm. But you must make sure you get the new stock.
