Question: Which is better for exhaust pipe extensions? Chrome or stainless steel extensions? Doesn't SS turn bluish after being heated up?

I bought a stainless one from the J.C.Whitney catalog. (On the web). About $55.00 as I recall. It doesn't have that nifty ring against the opening like the CC version, but it's a lot cheaper.

But does it stay shiny and silver or does it discolor with time and heat?

magnamama,

Put on a chrome extension two years ago. Still shiny & no discoloring. Cost $30-$35.

Hope this helps.........

We've put thousands of miles on our SS extension and it hasn't turned bluish.
