We're staying at Normandy Farms CG in Foxboro, Massachusetts, where the campground water pressure is reportedly 80-100 psi! Our ever-present regulator is protecting our plumbing system.

Dick, I thought all CC's had an internal water pressure regulator, and quit using the external one when I bought my first CC eight years ago. Am I mistaken, or are you using the external regulator for added insurance?

That's my understanding, too, Walt. However, just in case, I believe in the old saying that if one is good then two are better.
Seriously.... Look at what's in between the water source and the internal pressure regulator. For me it my hose, my water filter, the connection into the coach and whatever pipes lead to the internal regulator. I us a "Y" at the city water connection. One side with my regulator leading to the coach and I use the other for other uses (washing the coach, etc.).
Why so cautious? Two occasions where a fitting in the coach gave way. One caused minor flooding of a basement compartment. The other... major damage inside the coach.

I've heard that what is commonly thought of as an internal water pressure regulator is nothing but an anti-siphon valve, so that water IN the coach can't go back into the source water supply. I could be wrong 'cause I've been wrong before .

Regardless, we use a Watts 560 water pressure regulator, which can be seen at http://tinyurl.com/5nr2p to protect our entire plumbing system, including our external filter and hose.

I've also heard that the products normally used as water pressure regulators by RVers (Marshal, etc) are nothing more than flow restrictors.
