good day

Yahoo Message Number: 12345
I've just joined this group and was asked to do a short intro. Here 'tis. I'm now in the shopping, lurking and learning mode, anticipating a possible purchase of a CC. My wife and I had never driven anything larger than our Ford Expedition when we purchased our first RV a few years ago -- a 14-year-old Newell. Great coach. There are hundreds of thousands of 7-year-old girls far more mechanically talented than I, however, and we let that coach go, thinking of doing something new or newish. Does that make sense? I'm kinda panting over the 05 Allure right now, but mayhaps my eyes are bigger than my wallet; we'll see. Any advice, comments, suggestions or friendly hellos are welcome. Thank you. ---Steve

Does that make sense? (snip) I can't imagine being a home/vehicle/RV owner without being at least a "little" mechanically talented. And so-called "talent" can be obtained through reading or attending evening courses at high schools, etc. From what I've seen, buying "new or newish" just means that you'll be getting something "newer" with problems instead of "older" with problems.

You'd be amazed! Now, surely, there must be coach owners out there as talentless as me. Well, I can always hope.

I expect you're right. I also expect there's something to be said for purchasing a coach a couple of years old after, presumably, the depreciation hit has been taken and the coach has been de-bugged.

Thanks for the response, Dick. I dunno how to do that "snip" thing, but I bet you can follow all this.
