Slide hydraulic leak

To all interested parties,

In my 04 Intrigue, just above the propane tank, there is a long, black cylinder (mounted crosswise to the coach) that is a sychronizing cylinder for four hydraulic jacks that move the front slide in and out. Just above that is a device called a back pressure valve that measures about 2"x3"x4" with about seven hoses connected to it. This item appears to be leaking quite a bit of that hard to find AW22 clear transmission fluid. A replacement part is on the way and it looks like a piece of cake to replace, but---after opening the hydraulic lines the system must be bled of any introduced air. Again, not too tough but you have to expose the drive cylinders to do the job. Not easy! The facia over the galley/sofa area must be removed as well as four thin, plastic strips of material used to direct any spilled fluid away from the living area. Also, the toe kick panel under the kitchen cabinets must be removed to expose one drive cylinder located there and two carpeted panels under the sofa must be removed to expose the drive cylinder located there. Even this would not be too bad if CC had not buried mounting screws in the carpet where they can not be found. So, I have prepared the coach for replacement of the back pressure valve and bleeding of the hydraulic lines. Should tackle parts replacement this coming week. Prayers are in order. Updates available for interested parties.

Lyle,

If you're looking for the clear HWH hydraulic fluid, Camping World carries it. Also, I went through the task of replacing the sychronizing cylinder about a year ago. Not too bad of a job to bleed the system, just a pain to get access to everything, which I see you have discovered. Good luck.

Recently, been there & and That on our '01 Intrigue With Bad Seal in Lower Forward Cylinder, Bad Chain Assembly and Leaking Hose... $2,204 later It works again.
HWH did cover some parts and a little labor Lee in Portland/Redmond, Oregun

Is that not under warranty. I had a leak in the same area and also the hoses had a service recall on them and HWH did all the work.
