I have had the 2610 for over a year now. Works well most of the time.
Have had occasion where it was not up to date with new roads. Sometimes the route is not the one I would take. Good at finding other places ie Walmart. With 1 GB card cannot get all of USA on. I do not know if 2 gb card will work with 2610. Would buy again or consider the 2612 which does not need card and upload.

I have a Street Pilot 2610 in the coach and an older Street Pilot III in the toad. They both work great and I wouldn't be without them. Garmin provides firm ware updates for them and software updates for Map Source. I also have a Garmin Legend for foot travel.
Garmin has a new Street Pilot which I think holds all the Map Source maps, eliminating the need to load them when you exceed the memory capability.
Once you get used to using it, it is like the microwave - "How did we live without it?"
