Locked vault

Yahoo Message Number: 14809
The vault in our new Affinity will not open with the factory code.
It is on the list of things to fix, but I though maybe CC changed this value like the door code default value and someone knew the CC value. We have tried everything we can think of, and LD just says wait till we bring it over.

If anyone has a clue, email me at john (at) keenelandfarms (dot) com. I just know it is full of diamonds and gold coins ... why else would this coach have cost so much.

Thanks ...
John

I don't know anything about the safe. I just wanted you to know that my wife and I got a good belly laugh from your post! Thanks!

Thanks Larry ... we are curious what's in there ...
I emailed the vendor (in the UK). They got right back to me telling me they called Lazy Days and will help open and reset the combo when we take it in. Top notch outfit IMHO (Phoenix Safe).
We never had a vault, and don't really need one, but it will be nice to have it functional.

When we first tried our vault, I thought we had the same problem. I tried more than a dozen times to open the safe, but failed. Then someone pointed out to read the instructions VERY CAREFULLY. These safes do NOT work like the old Master Lock I had on my school locker so many years ago. First, be sure you start by spinning in the correct direction (my lock is opposite of what I thought)... Start by spinning at least 4 times in the starting direction to clear the lock... then when entering the first number, be sure to PASS the number the correct number of times... for example, "Left to 8 four times then stop" means that you should PASS the number 8 THREE TIMES before stopping on it the FOURTH time. Likewise, follow the remainder of the instrustions including the correct number of PASSES for each code, spinning in the direction specified in your instructions. In all, you should spin the dial at least 14 times from the time you get started until you stop on the final number.
When I did that, my safe opened!!!
