Re-String Day/Night shade

Have searched the archives and can not find any information on getting Day/Night shade re-strung. Have seen information in the past but am unable to locate at this time. Would appreciate help in locating a repair facility. Currently wintering in Yuma, AZ

We had a couple of blinds repaired last year, and were very pleased with the work. The woman is based near Eugene, OR. We sent the blinds to her and had them back in two days. She is an RVer, and does repairs in the desert in the winter. Her web site is http://www.rvshaderepair.com/rvshader/

Joe,

Have you tried to repair them yourself. It is not hard to do. I contacted the blind company and they sent me new cord and instructions on how to do it at no cost. You need a philips screw driver to remove the blind and some room outside the coach to do the work. I work with one cord at a time so that the other cord is always in place. It also helps me to keep the cords strung properly.

We look at every broken day/night shade as an excuse to replace it with a mini-bind from Home Depot at $30 a pop. Can't stand not being able to peek out or let air in the windows and still have privacy.

What a great idea. Get the colors you want.....cut to size, easier to open and close, have your privacy AND airflow.

I successfully restrung three shades..they are not that difficult. All you need is the heavy duty string.

I just have to know - why were your old MH blinds noisy? We travel with them pulled up just as we did with our day/night shades and never hear a peep from them.

Different strokes for different folks I guess!!!
