Rant - disappointment with CC tech support

I called tech support last week with a question about whether my coach was pre-wired for CB. Dale said he would check and call back. He never did. Today I called, left my message, and waited for a callback. During the callback my cell phone dropped the call (what's new) and after calling back I found out the practice at tech support is to ignore the dropped call and go on to the next one.
So, here I sit, waiting for another callback. I understand they are probably busy but they could at least give it one try. So far I'm having a hard time understanding why everyone thinks their support is so great. My experience in 2 months of ownership is that they aren't much better than anyone else.

There, I've said my piece, I'll sit down and shut up.

To my knowledge the 05 Intrigue is not pre wired for a cb I just had Valley mobil tech. come out and do some work on mine.
One of the the things I wanted was a cb installed. They had to run the wire themselves. They did say that all Country Coaches came pre wired, but they don't now. It took them about three hours to completely install my new cb. They also adjusted my A-slide so it would set centered when in. They also fixed my low water pressure problem.

Those guys where great.

Bob, I have emailed such questions in the past, and the few times I've done that, I get an answer in a day.

Just curious... are you a Country Coach Owner? I do not see a listing for you. Which coach do you own and what is the coach number?

I am asking because we are having a rash of people misrepresenting themselves as Coach owners and misleading the owners to get business for some disgruntled former CC techs who are trying to start up a nbew business using deception and unscrupulous methods.

I just want to be sure who we are dealing with.

Magnamomma, I am a new Country Coach owner as of 12/27/20004. We bought a 2005 Country Coach Intrigue LE Kona 2 of 15 #11872. Part of our problem is that we bought from a brand new dealer but it was the only way to get an '05 Ovation with the C-13 CAT in a color scheme we wanted. By the time we decided to buy the '05's were all built and the '06 didn't meet our needs.

Good news is that we got a call back this afternoon from tech support and we get a new chassis battery on Monday when we take the coach in for the C-13 cooling upgrade. We've been dealing with the chassis battery problem and a lemon law Jeep ever since we bought the new coach and toad. It gets a little frustrating at times. I used to manage a tech support group and I know how to do customer support. Fixing the problem isn't always as important as communicating with the customer. Not knowing what is going on is more frustrating to the customer than the problem. In my case I got frustrated when the call was dropped and I called back and all I got was dead ends and voice mail.

Anyway, I'll eat some crow, rescind my rant, and go back to enjoying the coach.

Sorry Bob, I was actually trying to reply to the other person who replied to your post... moretravel etc...

We are getting some scam artists on here trying to get CC owners business using deceptive and underhanded methods.
Glad your problem was solved. Welcome to the group. Hope you enjoy your coach as much as I do!!!

Sorry Bob, if I were teck support I would do the same thing, your phone problem is not their problem. And maybe my call was the next one. Sometimes it takes 15 or 20 minute to get back to a dropped cell phone call.

I know that you've since received a call back ... but I want to remind everyone of my experience in January when we had a problem with our Intrigue's voltmeter and Jorie, a CC tech, returned "my" mobile RV tech's phone call. The tech was VERY surprised at the service he received from CC, saying that he NEVER received such great service from other manufacturers.
Maybe the reason "I" got such great service was 'cause I was having a problem, rather than simply making an inquiry?!? We'll probably never know. But if that's their modus operandi ... it makes sense to me.
