1997 Magna's w/Great Room Slide - opinions requested.

Hello,

I currently own a 1999 40ft Intrigue w/o slide. We are looking to move

to a slide unit. It looks like an older Magna might fit both our budget and desires. Even though we are going back in age, the Magna appears to be a solid step up in features as well as getting the GR slide. (It would seem that the Webasto heat is a big advantage too.

We are looking at 2 different units, both '97's with the GR - both with

Detroit 330's (our Intrigue has the 350 Cummins).
Coach #1 has 18K miles and reasonably new 275/80R22.5 tires. However it is the white wash oak interior, which I don't care for.

Coach #2 has 40K miles and 275/70R22.5 tires which need replacing.
The

interior is a darker walnut type finish.
Both coaches appear to show the same, except of the above, and prices are close. Tires are not an issue, as we can go to the larger size when relacing on #2. Does anyone have ideas on ways to change some of

the white insides of #1?

Also, any other comments on the age Magna in general would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Bruce

Bruce,

The coach with 18k sounds like it sat to much, in my opinion a motorhome that sits to much is a bad deal. Its like a generator that never runs. With those few miles I would want to see the maintenance records. We take our coach out of the garage for a spin every month or so just to run it for an hour and we drive 15,000 miles a year.
I'm no expert, but if mileage is the only factor, I would pick the one with more miles.
