Verizon older National Access plan, 60-80 kbps, Audovox card ($100).
Cingular and T-mobile, Edge plan, 70-135 kbps, current.

Fred posted some good information for Internet access with dedicated equipment.

The Novatel V620 may be excellent after software & hardware problems are fixed. My Novatel V620 went back to VZ.
If you use a CDMA - EVDO capable phone, you Internet service might be $9.95 (not $80) added to your Verizon family plan. I just just got a LG VX8000 phone that should be fast as broadband cards without paying Verizon $80 per month. After the cable & software arrive I will begin to learn more about speed & cost. Other broadband capable phones are also available.

Recent changes to Verizon plans may give you more minutes & less roaming. If my old national Verizon plan is renewed & switched, it will go from 400 minutes + 3000 minutes to 500 minutes + unlimited minutes.
Your plan may vary!
