Could it be our air suspension?

We were driving our coach and towd on a new smooth road, going about 55 mph, when we experienced the towd violently fishtailing and shaking the whole coach. We stopped and checked everything and could see no problem. We started off again and about 3 miles down the road it happened again. We disconnected the towd and it ran fine and so did our coach.

Does anyone have any ideas of what happened to us? We have not connected the coach and tow car again. I am following behind until we find out what we need to do.

Gordon, have you towed this particular vehicle before and what kind is it? If you have towed it before it may be that the front tie rods etc. are shot and need replacing. Also, some makes do not make good tow vehicle because of this problem of the front end wobbling.

I have had one of my arms on the tow bar release, and the whole thing also shook, and went wobbled. Blue ox tow bar. Had to have it rebuilt one side needed to be lubbed, it acted like it was locked but it had dirt in the locking ball bearings and it would release only on one side.

If you ever go to an FMCA convention, Blue Ox will clean and check your bar for nothing. We do it at each convention. They will also check to make sure you have all the latest pins etc and replace them for free.
