Hi Larry: I'm towing a Pilot. I've recently returned from a 3000 mile trip. Only comment: They are heavy buggers, I weighed at a POE scale in Oregon. The essentially empty Pilot weighed 4550 across the scales. Supplemental brakes are recommended. I have a Blue Ox unit. It seems to work well.
The car is easy to tow because the transmission requires only to be placed in neutral. The manual has a specific section on recreational towing that covers how to be sure not to damage things.
Some additional tips: I always turn off the radio and be sure the A/C was turned of in the "recirculation" mode. The theory is that the fumes from exhaust/brakes, etc. will not get in the car if the outside air ducts are closed.
Otherwise, it's a great car. Smooth ride, sufficient power, bonus of having a third seat for friends on side trips!

Happy Camping

It is rumored that many/most new Hondas may or may not be towable currently and/or in the future. Several Odyssey owners in the Newmar owners group have bought new vehicles only to find that they are no longer towable.
Before purchasing any vehicle, I would require the dealer to verify in writing that the vehicle is towable.

Our first toad was a CR-V, then moved up to a 2004 Pilot. There are some restrictions on towing .... max speed of 65, sequence you must go thru before placing in neutral, and stopping every 8 hours to run thru the proceedure.

Can't beat it for a toad, or the CR-V for that matter.

Just ask the dealer so see the manual, it will tell you what is up.

Will start towing my new Sierra pickup next trip, but the Honda has been great.

Didn't mean to badmouth Honda in any way as I have an '03 CR-V that I tow and it is a great car. Just wanted to warn new buyers not to assume that the new Hondas are all towable w/o modification. Get it in writing! Tom Fisher

Forget about getting the dealer to "put it in writing". Dealers have been known to lie just to get the sale. Just simply open the Honda manual for the vehicle you are considering and look for the section entitled "Towing your car behind a motorhome". Now THAT is something you can rely upon without question. My Acura MDX (cousin to the Pilot) has such a section that explicitly describes the conditions and procedure necessary for damage free towing.
