Power gear slide bolts CC#31207 42' Allure

So far we have had no problems with our power gear slide. We had the factory addjust the slide shortly after we bought the coach as we noticed the slide wearing into the carpet. Since we often park at our friends where we are under a bunch of trees, I use a small electric leaf blower to blow the leaves etc. off of the slide awnings before slide retraction.

I think the Power Gear is great, Ive had no problems. If the motor quits, you can use a socket & ratchet to manually close the slides. If you have never experienced winching a CC HWH gally slide in, you are in for a real surprise. I had nothing but problems with the HWH, leaking lines and syncronizing cylinder. Please describe the location of the bolts that are shearing off.
Thanks,
Tom

Re: [Country-Coach-Owners] Power gear slide bolts There is a square piece of steel that goes over the rod that runs from the back motor and gears up to the front gears that moves the slide. In our '05 42' Allure, this piece is in the bay where our propane tank is on the street side. The slide motor is in the last storage bay just a head of the sanitation bay. Might be different in another coach.
At least this is easy to get to and if we ever had to ratchet in the slide, the motor is easy to reach (beats our previous coach!) Luckily we have not had trouble with the HWH slides. We have a boat trailer winch in the bay that came with the coach, but we haven't found any instructions on how to use it. Just how do you get one of the HWH slides in manually?
