2007 Coaches

Hi Folks,

I looked over the subject coaches at the pre-rally in Santa Barbara 2 weeks ago. The insides pretty much had the same oval ceiling theme with all spot lights, didn't see any flourscent. All 19 coaches were tags with Goodyear tires, the Afinity and Magnas with 315s, the rest 285s.

Prices have escalated and accelerated since 2000. The ISC400s had scrape guard shells on the oil pans and a transverse bar between the rear flaps that looked to be 12 inches from the ground. The standard was the Cat C9 with the ISC400 as the option, Magna and Afinity had C13s with 600 hp. The oil dip stick housings were touching in one location and the engine compartment looked busy with more wiring. The horizontal air filter mounting was observed on most. The left front compartment looked better layed out but the triple-decker Intellitec was loaded with connectors - concern is reliability. ABS still has the blinker switch - some things never change! But HWH is gone.
I liked the paint schemes and the tall look.

Fred, according to the new spec sheets on CC website the slideout is HWH new flat-out slide mechanism. You can see the mechanism work @ HWH's web site.
It goes straight out and then drops down and then up and in wth some type of chain drive, that I can't figure out.

Also, the 600hp is still Cummins ISX according to the specs on CC web site.

Hi Folks,

The HWH replacement was Power Lift?, Power Slide?, Power something, I asked if HWH was gone - yes was the answer from the Beaudry salesman from Tucson, mind you these were all tag axle coaches.

Maybe Power Gear ... they make similar equipment, I think. I am going to look for a web page.

This is curious ... I always thought HWH was top dog. I wonder what is up. Somehow this does not sound good ...

The Power Gear stuff I had on my fifth wheel was junk. I can't believe they would go to that.

Go to the web site and look at the top bar and select either Intrigue, magna, or Affinity. When anyone of those pages opens you see a black and white cover sheet for specs on the new coaches. Go below that and down load the spec sheets marked pdf. TWI

Hey Fred,

All Country Coach 2007 models use HWH air leveling.

HWH is doing all the slides and leveling on the 2007 Intrigue / Magna / Affinity models.

Allure use both HWH & Power Gear on slides

Inspire uses Power Gear exclusive

The optional 600HP engine is only a Cummins ISX with 1,850. ft lbs of torque.

Spoke to my inside source and Power gear does not make a drop down slide yet. But some intrigues have power gear bed room slides. TWI 2004 11731. If the slide goes out fast its a hwh, if it crawls out its a power gear.
