Report back on CCI response to my Inspire tranny temperature data

I got a return e-mail to my transimission temperature data which was very complete and well organized as was commented by CCI. The bottom line is that they feel the temperatures are within the specs. The strange comment along with that was that they would like me to continue taking data through the summer and would like me to send it to them. They have also asked me if I could call the CCI technian now to discuss this further.

From this response and not having had a chance yet to call the CCI tech, I think they are still evaluating what is going on here. At least that is the way I and reading it. Anyone else see it that way or have another opinion?

Have you also gone to the transmission mfg site, they usually provide lots of helpful info including specs that might be useful to determine if yours is within specs.

Thanks, for getting involved with this tranny temp issue. No doubt in my mind that your data is excellent.

What scares me a little is why do they even need your data because this is not an intermentent problem, its every Inspire, every time when operated under the same conditions.

Country Coach has the only dynamometer in the industry, why not use it or use local roads to simulate traffic conditions. I believe if they do this, they will see temps that approach 300 degrees as I see on my gage and many others have reported.

I would like to hear CC say that these temps are normal and that Allison is thrilled with the data.

I would also like to hear CC say that these temps won't adversely effect the life of the transmission or the Transynd fluid that should go 100k miles.

Personally, I'm not to impressed when they say to continue to take data thru the summer because I believe they have the data.
Also, I would like to know if running the AC (if you need it or not) would be a good idea to help cool the tranny by kicking the cooling fan up a notch.

Anyway, a little guidance from CC would be helpful.

Don't for get the time limit of 48 months or 4000 hours which ever comes first. I am curious, Has anyone had Allison preform a chemical analysis on the trans-synd after one year of service, or after the first filter change at 5000 miles? I did at 2 1/2 years and 28,000 miles, and all was OK. Will probably have it checked again this winter when we return home. TWI 11731 2004 Intrigue/Cummins 400..
