Re: Satellite Internet?? Reply #25 – April 28, 2006, 12:27:02 pm Yahoo Message Number: 22532Rog,You have a point...Satellite will be here for the forseeable future. I guess my thought was more along the line that "many coach owners will be able to get along without it if they primarily visit the mainstreet rv parks like ODR, etc.WiMax will be rolling out soon, which means a TCP/IP connection will be available (in many areas) as we roll down the road. ATT&T is set to bundle this type of connection with their Cell service.Microsoft has built an Operating System for autos and they believe broadband to vehicles is just around the corner.Have you noticed that the speeds have decreased as HughesNet adds more people? We use all three systems (Sat. Cell. and Wifi),just in case.Russ05 Intrigue 11883Quote from: Rogers Wright\[br\] Quote Selected

Reply #26 – April 28, 2006, 08:54:10 pm Yahoo Message Number: 22537Well I have agree..that satillite will not be necessary in the future for internet access.....yikes..dont hit me..... I could be wrong...but I have done alot of reading on different forums concerning the new technologies for connecting to the internet...I believe that the new cell technoliges will be the way to go ...Its getting faster and faster and available in more areas. NO trees to contend with...and you can surf the internet while traveling...not the driver..please...The only issue i see now is connecting while traveling to more remote areas and out of the country.I have been using the cingular edge card for two years and love it..Looking forward to the future.Quote from: Russ and Jean Quote Selected
