Disney World, Orlando

Yahoo Message Number: 22897
We are making plans to visit Disney World in June. While checking out the Disney Fort Wilderness and Campground, comments were made that it could be very tight for a big rig (40 ft). I understand it was built in 1971.

Would appreciate any advice.

We have taken each rig we own to FW to break it in.

36' Journey (our first trip in a MH) 41' Dutch Star

Never had a problem. Don't make this your first back in attempt however, some sites can be a little tricky.

My wife guides me via radios lest I back over some poor schmuck riding by on a bike or knock down a tree.

They have the big book up front when you check in showing a plan view of all the sites, and you can get some idea what is in store for you.

Best CG in the conntry in my humble opinion. If you want to check out WDW, goto www.johnswdwpage.com, my disney page (actually my daughter's).

Email with specific questions, or goto www.disboards.com and scroll down to the FW forum. Lots of nice people there.

John,

Your daughter did a great job on your website. I am very impressed. Is this a hobby of hers or is she a web site designer by trade?

WDW can be very tight. There are only two or three pull through's, all the rest are back ins. Our coach is 36 and had no problem and we had neighbors with 42' Prevost, so I guess if they can do it, you can.
WDW is an old campground and is very rustic but its right next to the Magic Kingdom. We were there this past February for about the eighth time. I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

She is our business manager, and does our company website plus a few others... local lions club, etc.

We take the family to WDW several times a year, and this is her pay back. She calls it John's WDW page, but she does all the work. I am a figure head ... like Mr Carlson on WKRP.

Glad you enjoyed it ...
