Mudguard (flap) clip source?

Looks like our mudguard clips will need to be replaced soon. Has anyone done so lately and if so, what did you replace them with? Thanks...

Hi Jan ...

Re your mud flap clips ..... DON'T WAIT to replace them. The clips on our '01 Intrigue were badly bent and one broke going through St. Louis on the Interstate 2 Summers ago. Not a fun thing.
The '01 has 1/4" holes and galvanized (not stainless steel) eye-bolts to hold the mud flap. They are not strong enough to hold the weight of the mud flap. They bend and eventually will snap and break.

We had CC drill larger diameter holes in the frame and replace the eye bolts with 5/8" stainless steel eye bolts. Do it NOW.

Another thought: remove the guard and deposit it in the nearest
trash bin. Ours was stolen (!) three years ago at a Cummins dealership. I chose not to replace it. I have towed my Highlander 20,000 miles without damage, and members of the group will tell you that engine cooling is improved without the flap.
