Seals Damage Tips

Yahoo Message Number: 22985
Just replaced seals and water valve on our toilet in our 01' Intrigue. Water valve stuck open over-flowed the bowl. Glad we were in coach at the time. Seland shipped the parts no problem but I noticed the new seals have a hole (old ones did not) that allows water to drain back into the holding tank to prevent overfilling the bowl.
The seals and valve cost about $64 with shipping. Now for the tips, when I asked about using Silicon grease on the seal, customer service told me two things. 1. Use cooking spray, PAM on the seals will prolong their life. 2. Don't pour your chemicals in the toilet bowl.
They will damage your seals. We have not seen or heard that before.
I also think CC should have a shut-off valve on the toilet. If we have a problem with the toilet, we have no water in the coach until it gets repaired.
