Waterlogged Basement Doors

I have heard that water accumulation inside the fiberglass basement doors is fairly common with CC's. Has anyone had the problem and found a solution that works?

I have one door that drips when I open it. I've been told to drill a drain hole in the bottom but I haven't tried it yet. jerry in NM, '00 Magna.

That will drain the water but doesn't solve the problem. I did think of drilling holes but will wait in hopes of someone smarter than me coming up with a better solution. Maybe there is a way to seal the holes where the hinge is attached to the door. I think that is where the water seeps in.

I have the same problem with our plumbing bay door and CCI told me the problem was that some of my hinge rivets had made holes in the rubber gasket material they put over the rivets. CCI just sent me a roll of material to redo across the entire hinge.

Water pores out of this door every time I open it.

While I have not had this problem, this is how I would attempt to fix it.
A complete fix would be to drill out all the rivets and calk the holes and then reinstall the door...............a big job.
Another way would be to use a garden hose to put water on a section of the door for a short time and then look for signs of water leakage ---- also check each one of the calk "globs" that are placed under each rivet for signs of water. If you fine one or two, drive out just those rivets and try to force calk back up into that area. Then after it has set up, redrill the hole and install a new rivet.
