Road to Moab Utah - coach height

I also would like to go back to that area, but I was under the impression that my 2004 Intrigue had a clearance of 12'1". Does your height of 12'8" include the CB antenna?

SR9 through Zion has a 40' limit for any one vehicle. We had to go around Zion via UT 59 and AZ 389 to US 89. Here is the quote from the Zion NP web-site:

Entered Zion on SR9 from Bryce, when we got to the ranger station to pay they asked how wide I was. I told them and they said ok. I proceeded and got to the tunnel for the escort and noticed the sign said 13'1" clearance - I'm 13'3". Had to turn around - decided we would see Zion another time. It was curious the ranger did not ask how tall I was.

We did have to unhook the car and drive through the first part of the park separately due to the switchback. However, Jerry said that he drove it years ago towing a car. After the switchbacks but before the tunnel, the traffic was stopped because of construction so we hooked up the car. It is one way traffic now, so just drive down the center line. Was a VERY long mile!!!!

The 12' 7" is the height including air conditioners. We did not hear the CB antenna hit at all. Just talked to Jerry and he said it is 12' 7" rather than the 8". We were in the Prevost not the Allure.
