Transmission temp question 2006 Allure 470

Yahoo Message Number: 30022
First trip with my 2006 Allure 470, cummisn 400 etc. What transmission temp should I expect going down the hwy at 60mph on a 75 degree day? What transmission temp should I expect in stop and go traffic? What temp will set off the dash alarm? Will the transmission temp go down buy using lower gears in town traffic, or putting it in neutral at stop lights? Does using the jake brake in town traffic add heat? OK so I know nothing about the subject, I admit it. My last two did not have the silver leaf and they kept me dumb and happy.

Frank,

What kind of temperatures are you seeing on your silverleaf and transmission gage during the conditions you are asking questions about?
