03 intrigue lost my shore power batteries fading fast.

Yahoo Message Number: 30049
I started up my coach today after being gone a month and did the usual run the engine and generator. Noticed my battery was down to 83% and checked my 50 amp shorepower and the breaker was tripped. So checked my surge guard and it is now ok and makes the pop noise when the power comes in. Checked all the fuses in both boxes, all the circuit breakers I could find also fuses on line with the echo charge.

Noticed on inside breaker board the gfi breakers would not pop when I pressed the white test button.

Also the refer will not operate off ac only gas.
Seems like I am missing a breaker or fuse for the shore power and cant reach anyone here in Indio or Junction City on Saturday. So maybe I could get some hints from someone who has a like model? Any ideas?

Sorry could have given you more info. First check the inverter amd make sure it is off. Then check to see if the microwave is on. If not recheck your 50amp service. I was fooled by having the inverter on and did not find the 50amp problem.

There are a couple of 15 amp breakers on the inverter. Pull the panel and check those.

If this helps someone --

I had something similar happen to me about 6 months ago. We had been parked in the same spot for about two weeks and I walked in to my coach after having been gone for about 6 hours and it appeared shore power was off. No TV, no power at all. The inverter panel showed "ERROR." I unplugged from shore power and re-plugged it back in a few minutes later.

All seemed OK, except that over the new few days I noticed the house batteries seemed to be fading. My first signs were the overhead fluorescent lights not coming on fully. Finally, it got really bad and so I took it down to Cummins Rocky Mountain for repairs -- I figured I was looking at thousands of dollars in house batteries that needed replacement.

It turns out that for some inexplicable reason the initial power failure and then replugging in to power had apparently caused the the Inverter to reset itself to allow only minimum amps (I think it was 2 amps)instead of the (normal) 30 amp setting. Since only minimal amperage was being allowed to enter the coach, it could not keep up with normal demands and keep the bateries charged as well.
I now realize that this is a handy feaure: If you are plugged in to someone's house while visiting and it can't handle 30 amps, reset your Inverter panel to 10 amps or whatever and you'll still be able to run most of your small electrical units without popping your friend's house circuit braker.

So, as the technician showed me, on my 2004 Allure it was a simple matter to reset the maximum amperage allowed back up to 30 amps at the Inverter panel.

I just never thought to check that before taking it to the dealer.

These motohomes nowadays are truly amazing. We couldn't even run a TV due to the square waves created by our on-board genset back in the 70's.
