Clear Coat Touchup

I have a small spot on the side of my coach below a window that the clear coat has flaked off. It is about 3 inches in diameter. Not sure if there was a chip there when it started or not. The paint underneath shows no evidence of damage or failure. Coach has been waxed frequently and noticed it the last time it was waxed. All the clear coat in the surrounding area is tight. I keep a coat of wax applied weekly to the area to keep it protected. Anyone else have this problem and how did you correct it? Can the clear coat be touched up successfully? It is so small of an area that I am tempted to touch it up myself. Any and all comments/advice appreciated.
