Hanging Things

What is the best way to fasten "things" (like a calendar, bulletin board or pictures) to the interior walls? Ideas for hanging towels inside the shower? We just purchased our first coach and need to make our new space more functional for full-timing without unduly destroying the beautiful woodwork and wallpaper. HELP!!!

My wife purchased a tension rod (it has a spring inside that pushes against the walls of the shower) to hang clothes that are wet such as a wet jacket or clothes she has washed in the washing machine. It is has rubber pads on the ends to prevent scratching and to make a secure hold on the walls. This has worked well for us. It is easy to setup and remove when we are finished using the rod. Hope this helps.

My wife has found two items that I have heard called earthquake putty. One is SecureHold ... she got that at Camping World. The other is called Quick Hold, which she found at a retail outlet (don't remember where). We have used it on the bedroom clock radio ... we don't move it when we start to roll. We hung a clock. We used Quick Hold on the back of it to keep the clock in place as we go down the road. We have a vase with flowers in it. Applying this putty to it keeps it from moving as we drive down the road. We haven't had one item move.

Christy, here's a couple of ideas that we have used. Use those spring loaded rods of the correct length in the shower to hang towels. We have ours in the skylight that way they are out of the way for showers and also seem to dry quicker. Double stick velcro on the pictures and other hanging stuff. We use four pieces, one on each corner, and things stay put. We have also used the sticky putty to hold things down on tables and shelves. Don't use velcro on the wood tables etc...it'll leave a stain, over time. Also, the 3m stuff works great and is easy to remove by pulling on the tab.

I use Velcro to put pictures, clocks, etc on the walls. Another friend has used those 3m hangers successfully. I have used the industrial strength velcro and it is VERY strong. I almost can't get my clock off the wall to change the time. Nothing has ever fallen off.

_My wife uses the 3M hooks that stick to the wall. They will hold towels or pictures, etc.. There are a variety of types of 3M hooks and sizes. Be sure that you find the ones that are removable. When you want to take it off you pull on a strip on the sticker part of the hook. They are pretty slick - no damage to the surface it was on.
