I've found a baseball cap to be the most effective sunvisor. Easy to adjust without stopping. Give it a try.

We installed power shades we purchased from Camping World. Put the shades on both front windows and ran the switch to the passenger's AC control area on the dash of a 2001 Magna, they work great and you can still close the front curtains.
