Cracks in Table Top

We're getting ready to head south for the winter. Notice 2 large cracks in our dining room table top.

Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

I had the same thing happen last winter during storage. The Corian guys here said it is because CC used 1/4" material instead of 1/2" over a particle board substrate. Presumably to save weight. Same thing with the countertop. Several of us also have a cracked counter that runs between the corner of the cook top and the wall. If you look closely along the under edges of the table you will probably see more cracks that have started but haven't gone all the way across. I had a good counter shop that works with Corian build a new table and leaf using 1/2". It weighs nearly double the old one. I keep a prop under the outer end of the table while we're in motion just so it doesn't stress the attachment point. Cost me about $600 and I decided that the cracked countertop was not worth the trouble, cost and extra weight. I was told that any repair made to the countertop would not hold. Hope this helps.

I should clerify that the integra is used for bonding the corian. They us a different adhesive to fasten it to the cabinet.
