The passenger side fan in the Dash Heater/AC quite working. Does any one know how to change a fan in the unit? The unit is a 2000 Magna

Thanks

Frank,

Ours are starting to squeal intermittently, I have it on my "list" for the Reunion. Did yours just suddenly quit, or was it progressive? I'm going to talk to Boateral, also.
Thanks,

Frank,

My passenger side fan stopped working last month. Finally got under the front-cap today and gave it a couple gentle taps with a rubber mallet and it now works fine again. [This was a suggested "repair" from an earlier posting in this group.]

Hope your repair is as simple.

If not, it still LOOKED like either fan would be simple to remove and replace from underneath. Maybe no so with a Magna. Good luck.

Frank,

The fan in our coach became intermittent, sometimes not working for days at a time. I found the problem to be the push-on terminals at the fan speed-control resistor. The wire was not properly crimped to the terminal, as I have since discovered were many others. The resistor is located on the front of the fan housing and has several wires connected to it. Give them a wiggle and see if the fan comes on.

Also, touch the wires carefully, they could be VERY HOT if they are loose!

Our HVAC fan was working then quit. It has worked once since then.
It was not making any abnormal noises. I would like to know how the wiring is run to the motor. I think is is a loose connection, but can't easily trace the wiring to the fan motors. I plan on being at the Class Reunion also. Maybe we should meet up at the Rally. I also plan on talking to Boateral.
