Water leak in Refer acess area

Yahoo Message Number: 2718
Moved my coach from its regular parking area and noticed water dripping inside the service bay and left rear tire. Checked the refer acess area and noticed water inside of it and found water dripping down the insde of the outer wall both in the service bay and tire well. When I moved it to clean up the leaves that had gotten underneath it, I parked it on the drive way with just a little incline toward the front of the coach. At this spot there was no water in the access area or dripping down.

Regular spot is pretty level and did not level coach on the regular spot.

Anyone have a diagnoses or a similar problem. Checked this morning with the coach back in the regular spot and water was back dripping down in the service area and on the tire.

Thanks,
Egon

When I accepted delivery of my 2000 Intrigue there was water under the refrigerator on the inside of the coach (new coach). Service man told me it was condensation...so I took his word for it.
Unfortunately, he was wrong, this continued to happen from time to time. I finally discovered the problem was the ice maker water supply line had a small pin hole. I went to Home Deport and bought a small length of line and installed it. That fixed the problem.

" I believe my water problem is caused by a heavy driving rain from the passenger side of the coach blowing in at the location of the Ref. wall vents on the outside of the coach. " --------------

I agree. In addition, in my coach the floor of the outside vent area slopes inward slightly. I laid a bead of caulk to prevent the water flowing into the coach. It seemed to work since it hasn't done it again. Another design fault of Country Coach.

George,

I agree with you. I had the same problem with my 2000 Allure. The dealer chaulked the refrigerator vent area and we have not had a problem since and we have been in some heavy rains.

I also had the same problem with water running down the front the the lower drawer beneath the refer inside the coach during a driving rainstorm. Talked to CC , and they advised me thay had reports of the same problem and the solution was to make a dam and sloping floor inside the rear of the reefer where the outside hatch is. Slope was to slope towards the outside of the van of course so the water that entered via the air vent slats in the outer door did not pool and run towards the inside of the coach. ron '01Intrigue #11262 san diego
