Slides misbehaving from time to time
Yahoo Message Number: 105687
We have an 04 Allure 40' with two driver side slides, 31017.
Have three questions regarding them:
1) The front slide, this the deep slide, while coming back in, will stop just as it is getting over what I call the initial retraction where it raises up a bit. If I try to continue bringing it in, nothing happens. I have to start to extend it, stop it quick, and then it will come in and usually come in all the way without a problem. This has been a problem off and on, for I'd say 1/3 of of the retraction times over the last 25-30 usages.
2) About two months ago. The rear slide will not extend when we push the button. After reading other posts about slides behaving badly, I tried the go start to extend the front slide, and see if it gooses the rear. This does seem to get it to go out. I'll go the front, start to extend, stop it about a foot out. Then go the rear and the rear slide will extend as normal. Never have a problem coming in. This has happened 5-7 times.
3) My wife pointed out that our front slide is now leaving a larger indentation in the carpet. Hardly used to leave any track at all, now the slide end toward the rear, is leaving a pretty good track. Wondering if this is something that has come out of adjustment? Or an indication of a roller having a problem?
Note: Some of this is a repeat from another thread, but wanted to identify all of the slide behaviors as they have developed.
TIA, and best to all,
Smitty
