Lube for entry steps

I've seen at least one post that recommends a graphite type lube for the power front entry steps slides. Is this what most owners use? Are there other recommendations? Just trying to stay ahead of trouble.

You can go to the Kwikee website and download the manual. On page 4 it states "Power wash and spray dry lubricant on the bearings." It also states do not use WD 40 or silicone. The manual provides good information regarding other aspects of the steps, too.

Several years ago, I was staying at the Tempe Elks Lodge, there were four CC's there and their step slides looked like new. Asked them what they used, Corrosion X. I bought a can and it seems to work good, don't know if it caused any probs but the slides always look a lot better, I power wash, sometime use some gunk cleaner and PW again. Then put on the Corrosion X. I have a can of the Quickee Lube, used that before. Will let you know if the steps ever "crap out".
