There are 49 shaded, largegravel sites, up to 65+ feet long, electric/water, dump station, some pull throughs, 2 ADA. Amenities include, hiking, fishing, boating, pet friendly.
The park is the home of the best preserved earthwork fortification of the Confederacy. The park's Civil War museum contains exhibits and artifacts.

Here are commercial parks that come to mind'

Bellaire Woods
Savannah Oaks

Whispering Pines in Rincon

We have stayed at Savannah Oaks and Whispering Pines. Both were acceptable although we preferred Savannah Oaks. Have not tried Bellaire Woods but it seems to have a good reputation.
Whenever we check out parks in an area we use www.rvparkreviews.com. Gives you the picture from the customer side of things. You do have to know how to separate out the eternally disgruntled but it is pretty obvious.

Don't rule out Hardeeville RV Park for easy access to Downtown Savannah. Pleasant area, quiet, and little traffic into Savannah. Check write up at rvparkreviews. Spent a really nice weekend there back in July.

Second the vote for Skidaway.
We spent one week there last year. Old time camping in the woods with huge spaces. Convenient.

I stayed in Hardeville RV Park, in Hardeville SC. It is about 10 minutes away across the bridge, but is a nice, open grassy park with full hookups..
