Dash Ventilation Blower Not Coming On Help Please

I am preparing to leave for Florida. My dash ventilation fan--the central one for the a/c, heat, etc.--is not coming on. This is happening on all settings including non-A/C settings. I can hear the little vacuum flaps moving as I change from dash to floor, etc. The A/C compressor is not engaging. The bedroom A/C blower is working. I looked in the electrical bay under the driver's seat and not a single fuse or relay is bad according to the little green lights. I have had no trouble with this blower. Anyone have an idea? Is there a fuse somewhere else? I cannot leave on my trip without ventilation, heat or A/C.

I would ignore the dash HVAC and use the House HVAC instead. For vent you can open a roof vent and a window or two.
For heat fire up whatever furnace or heat system you use when parked.
For AC run the gen and roof air as needed.
When you get to Florida find a competent shop and have the problem corrected.
I would not let such a small problem interrupt my trip plans.
My dash AC hasn't worked for years, and I seldom used it when it did work.

On my coach, wire #83 is for the "Dash AC" and it has a 30 AMP "breaker" (not a fuse) in the electrical box below the driver's seat. This breaker resets itself after it cools down (I think?). There are other breakers in the electrical box that you might be able to swap out for troubleshooting or temporary fix purposes. In the past (during summer months) my dash fan has quit intermitantly for maybe a minute or so, then restarted, so it would be interesting to hear what your final solution is. Good luck.

I have no voltage as the fan speed switches on the dash, either the passenger or the driver's. It is as if a fuse is blown or a wire disconnected, but I cannot find either. No way both fan motors burned out at once.

Maybe the "breaker" is defective (permenantly open)? Locate the "breaker" for circuit # 83 and check for continuity, or swap with another breaker in the electrical box.

My 2000 affinity's didn't work when I bought It either. On mine there was a thermal fuse on both fan resistors that was blown or open. I tried to buy new ones but with CC out of business..... I finally figured out they were out of a 70 something ford pinto and even motocraft wasn't making them anymore. So I just cutout the fuses and put a new one in each of them. There was also a bad relay. It blew both fuses right away so I replace them again and only energized one fan at a time. The passenger fan was drawing to many amps and somehow was taking out both fuses. My wife wanted to go somewhere so I put it back together without finishing the job. I need to replace the passenger fan. yuck.
Bob Wexler's advice was not at all out of line if your in a hurry and that will work, that's kind of what I did on my way home for over 1500 miles.
If you've got the wiring diagrams get you a multimeter and start looking. Could be as simple as a bad ground. The compressor not engaging could be related or not. It Could be low on Refigerant.

Well I had found where wire 83 connects to the A/C blower box to what looks like a breaker with studs and nuts. However, there is no voltage there (which is why the blowers are not working). I had located the #83 30A breaker you refer to on the run panel in the bay below the drivers seat. Since the green for that breaker goes on with the ignition, I assumed that the 30A breaker must be OK. (Light goes off when I remove the breaker). But tomorrow, I will try swapping breakers as you suggest, or jumping it briefly. I would think, if that checks out, it must be somewhere between that 30A breaker below and the breaker on that the 83 attaches to on the A/C box. Since the 83 wire is a 10G wire, I would be amazed if it broke (and I have been parked for over a month). The only other thing I can think of from looking at the schematic, is that the 83 wire goes through the ignition switch to the Ignition "CB" meaning, I assume some ignition control box. Where that is, I cannot tell. Chris Snyder, former CC rep at Beaudry is coming here from Tucson on Monday if I cannot fix it by then.

I just noticed on my "wire list" that wire number 84 goes from the "ignition fuse box" to the "fan controller." Maybe that fuse is blown? As you already know, wire #83 goes to the "dash AC control." Good luck!

Question is, where is the ignition fuse box? I have no idea. Now, when I turn on my alarm, it is beeping like a bay door is open, but nothing is open.

My ignition fuse box is the same fuse box that the AC control "breaker" is in, along with dozens of other fuses. Outside under the driver's seat.
On the alarm, you could have knocked a wire loose on one of your bay doors alarm switches?

Guys, thanks for your help, but for the first time on Magna electrical I am stumped. Chris Snyder is coming tomorrow. Thank God these former CC guys are near me when this happened. I do not think it wise to play around any further with the rats nest of wires, etc, under the dash. Hope he is not stumped! As far as I can tell, power is not getting from run box A/C relay (which seems fine) to blower box at all. There is not supposed to be anything between the two but that big wire #83. I would be amazed if it broke. That would be the only broken wire in this coach that I am aware of. Bet it turns out to be something simple.
The alarm problem was unrelated, merely a newer water bay pin switch that needed a slight adjustment. I will let you know what Chris finds for posterity.

Well everyone, Chris Snyder (former CC rep at Beaudry) came. I was right, no power to A/C system. Chris found the problem in about 15 minutes: Wire 83 has a connector in the electrical bay in front of the run panel. This hangs in a bundle of wires near the bay door. It had become disconnected over time perhaps from bay door strut or me hitting it. After all of this, that was it. Chris was great he knows CC's in and out, I highly recommend him if you are in the greater Tucson area. 520-665-1014. He drove over an hour to where I am. Oh well, I am now familiar with all the A/C wiring and much more under the dash!!
One thing I learned that you should all know about: SCS Frigette the manufacturer of the A/C box is in liquidation. Bad news. Take care of your A/C!
