House Batteries Not Charging

I would appreciate any input and help on solving a problem I have recently experienced. I have a 2005 Inspire and bought it new. I am experiencing a problem with the charging of the house batteries. It appears they are charging when the engine is running but will not charge when plugged into shore power. On the panel, the LED on the "Charge" button will not light up but all other functions on the panel appear to be working. Even when appearing to charge off the engine, the "Charge" light is not on.
Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Hodge,
I don't mean to sound rude but have you pushed the charge button? I know it sounds strange but having done some similar things I thought it would be worth a check.
