I could be overly cautious....no I guess I am. I always check the voltage where I am going to plug in; I shut the circuit breaker off, then plug in, shut it off and unplug; I install an adjustable pressure regulator on my water line at the spigot; If no AC voltage is available and we are going to use the microwave or an appliance that draws allot of current I use the generator. No, I do not short cycle the generator.

I agree Fred. I don't consider it "overly cautious" but using common sense! It only takes a second to turn the breaker off then back on. I have always done this. With my previous rig, I always used a water regulator, but according the CC paperwork, there is one built into this rig. An extra one reduces the water pressure too much, so I am not using one at this time.

When I made my comments about the turning off and on of the park ckt breaker, I didn't know it would cause this much discussion. My point was that if your coach trips the parks 30 amp breaker more than once, just don't just assume there is something wrong with your coach. A parks circuit breaker has had a pretty hard life. It is probably 15- 20 years old and has a few on and off cycles plus living in the summer heat and the winter cold and rain. Those items will have a detrimental effect on that breaker. Have the park check the breaker if you keep tripping it, thats all. If you want to turn it off before you plug in, go ahead.
