Big-Rigs Campground Info

Yahoo Message Number: 4341
Hi All,

I've heard of a website that has campground reviews specifically for those who have a "Big-Rig". I've used search engines with various keywords but haven't found it. Has anyone out there heard of such a website and used it or something similar.

Thanks,

First Timer and CC Rallys

Hi Everyone,

We are going to the CC Rally in Las Vegas next week. Since we have never been to one before, what kinds of service tasks do they perform? They sent a form allowing us to ask for service.
Also, I see they offer a couple of dinners and cocktails. Are these formal events?

If you are a first timer do they introduce you to the group? How many coaches show up for these events?

Any info will be appreciated.

Cookie,

The CCI rallies usually have around 200 to 250 coaches. The parties are usually casual unless they tell you otherwise, but you will see all kinds of dress, but never anything that resembles fancy or formal. They will fix anything they can at a campground, but they are restricted by what parts are available on the truck. If you want something done that requires a special part you might want to call CCI to get that part on the truck. You pay for the part but there is no freight if it comes on the truck. I always order parts that I need so I don't pay any freight. At the Snowbird rally the Cat people did valve adjustments on the engines for a fee of course, but we were happy to get this done without going to a Cat shop. You will enjoy the rally, you learn a lot at the seminars and you get to see the factory tecks and CCI upper management including Bobby Lee. Bingo is always a drag but thats because of Don. We don't go to many FMCA rallies but we try not to miss the CCI rallies. Go and enjoy!

Big Rig Best Bets is an excellent source for many states now...it's their 3rd edition (1-800-568-6458) All the campgrounds have been personally visited by the writers, so they make attempts to even mention which sites are the best for the larger rigs, etc. We've used their first edition a lot (limited states) but we just bought their third edition which covers many more states and highways. I'd highly recommend it.
