blind-spot camera-flat screen TV

Here's a couple of changes I've made to my Intrigue to help reduce the urge to buy a new coach:
#1: Blind spot camera: I was reading in one of the RV mags about the back-up cameras mounted in the bottom of the outside mirrors with a turn signal switch that displays the right side or left side of the coach as you flip on the turn signal lever.
In a never ending effort to keep up on the latest, I changed out my existing black and white camera to a color version and changed the monitor in the dash to color. I then mounted the old camera on the right side of the coach, just in front of the door, about 5' high. I mounted the old monitor in the lower dash, just under the top pad.
Both housings were made out of 1/4" acrylic, then painted to match. Wiring is simple and it works great and looks good if I say so myself. I now have a continual look down the right side, together with a back view. Both are left on at all times during the day and dimmed at night.
If anyone is interested in the exact details, let me know. I feel a great deal more confident when making turns and don't hear that annoying "beep-beep-beep" from a Honda Civic that has been hiding just under the mirror view as I begin to make a turn.
Flat screen TV up front: My Intrigue has the center mounted TV that also serves as a natural barrier and has created many bumps on the heads of visitors and my own Grey head more than once or twice. To solve this annoying problem, I bought a Sony 24" flat screen LCD TV. It is only 4" thick and allows me to reduce the size of TV housing by 8" or so. The modification to the cabinet was not difficult. I used the existing oak surround and even had space to mount a DVD player on top of it. If you want details, let me know.

Yes, I would really be interested in the details for the flat-screen TV. I have a 20" TV mounted in the center also. This has to be the most annoying and worst case of poor utilization of space in the coach.

Thanks,
Rob

Larry,

I would appreciate the information regarding installing the flat screen TV. I have hit my head enough and the current TV just takes up too much room.

Thanks,

Larry, I'm also interested in your modifications. Specificly, the switch to color backup and the install of the 24" LCD in the 20" TV hole.

Good show, Larry!
Refresh my memory.... how much do you charge for the job?
Seriously, you should send the plans, etc, to Davis Cabinet... or to CC!
