Generator Electrical

There has been a number of post about loose electrical connections, so thought I would report on one that I found. Have a 99 Allure with a Power Tech generator that has 1,300 hours on it and the coach has 149,000 plus miles, so it has been over its share of rough roads. The temp was in the high 90's so started the gen to run ac's. Gen ran fine but no power to coach. Reset the breakers and checked the 2 fuses - still no power. Took the control panel cover off and found power to and from breakers. Went to the Todd transfer switch - no power. Back to the gen compartment and to the junction box that has the loom from the gen and out to the transfer switch. opened it up and was pulling the wire nuts put for inspection when a wire came out. Inspected the plastic wire nut and found the whole nut was plastic. Replaced it with a nut that had a spiral wire insert. Restarted the gen and now have power to the coach. Hope this might be of help to someone. Scheduled to be in Or. for the FMCA event and hope to meet some of you.

Bill, another one - my bathroom fan quit, found wire nut had backed off. Only took me a day or so to run it down.
