Las Vegas Rally

Yahoo Message Number: 4480
Hi Gang, Finally arrived back from the rally and have a few moments to comment.
For us the rally was a big success, and as we had not been in Las Vegas for many years the opportunity to view some of the new casinos was an added bonus.
I was delighted to meet several people who had crossed our path on previous occasions and also to meet several that up to the rally were just names on the Internet. We intend to go to the homecoming rally in September and no doubt will run into some of our new friends when in Eugene.
During the event I attended the following seminars: Les Schwab tires, ITR Hurricane heaters, Cummins/Cat/Allison, Silverleaf VMS, Silverleaf digital dash, Country Coach round table, and Livability.
For some reason the Silverleaf digital dash was poorly attended, maybe because of the time slot. This was a pity because I considered it one of the most interesting and a clear indication of the future for coach owners. Martin Perlot did a fine job of showcasing his product. If any of you have the chance to attend this seminar in the future I recommend you do so.
We did get a couple of jobs completed by the service crew but due to inclement weather failed on the third which will now become number one in Eugene.
As best I can recall, the following NEW floor plan coaches were on display, triple slide First Edition 40ft Allure, double slide First Edition 38ft Intrigue, 42ft triple slide Intrigue "Ovation" and a 42ft triple slide Magna.
To be candid, I do not understand Country Coach's approach to marketing it's products. I was disappointed at the display presentation. (I also had a poor opinion of the way they were represented at the January Pleasanton RV show).
To make the above statement without some explanation would be inappropriate, so please read my follow up message on CC Marketing.
Finally, for those that are curious, we lost only $25 at the slot machines over the eight days we were in Las Vegas which I consider quite a small price to pay for all the entertainment we received.
